Headstart Careers

Making a Daily Difference

We have immediate openings for Teachers and Teaching assistants.

As a Head Start teacher, you are at the heart of our mission to prepare children for success in school and in life. Every day, your work shapes the experiences, relationships, and learning that help children grow in confidence, skill, and curiosity. You don’t just teach—you build a foundation for the future.

Children in Head Start are in one of the most important stages of development, and you help guide them through it. Through Head Start you:

  • Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
  • Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate learning experiences
  • Support children’s growth in language, literacy, math, and social-emotional skills
  • Observe and assess progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with each child
  • Foster curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving
  • Promote positive behavior and help children learn how to express emotions in healthy ways

You’re stepping into a role that is both challenging and deeply meaningful. You’re helping children get ready for school—and for life. Your patience, skill, and passion help ensure that every child has a fair chance to succeed.
